Partition function paper wins award

Professor Mark Jerrum has won an award for a paper co-authored with Professor Leslie Ann Goldberg of the University of Liverpool.

At the recent "International Colloquium on Automata, Languages and Programming" in Bordeaux, Leslie Ann Goldberg (Liverpool) and Mark Jerrum (Queen Mary) won the best paper award in Track A (Algorithms, Complexity and Games).  This was for the paper "Approximating the partition function of the ferromagnetic Potts model".
