A recent article by Diego Carranza, PhD student, and Juan A. Valiente Kroon, Reader in Applied Mathematics, has been featured on CQG+, a blog by the journal Classical and Quantum Gravity.
The article looks at the construction of certain solutions to the equations of General Relativity, which are relevant in String Theory.
The approach described by Diego and Juan should lead to better numerical simulations of these equations.
