Institutional Membership of the Association of Women in Mathematics

Published:

The School of Mathematical Sciences is proud to announce that we are now an institutional member of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)(link is external). The Association for Women in Mathematics is a unique non-profit organisation with over 3,000 members ranging from high school students to retirees. The AWM has been encouraging girls and women to study and develop active careers in the mathematical sciences since 1971. In line with our Athena Swan charter as an equal opportunities employer our AWM membership helps us reach out to women in mathematics with a view to further diversifying the School as well as helps us share and learn best practice with other members.

As part of our institutional membership we have a number of individual student memberships, which grant access to electronic versions of the AWM newsletter.  If you are a current QMUL student and would like to become an AWM member, please email megan.liddle@qmul.ac.uk
