Queen Mary's School of Mathematical Sciences is hosting a Mathematics Taster Event for Year 12 and 13 students.  

Thinking about a studying a degree in Mathematical Sciences or Actuarial Science? Interested in spending a day at Queen Mary University of London?  
  
On Thursday 5th November, we're inviting A-Level Maths students to our taster event Wonderful World of Maths at Queen Mary's School of Mathematical Sciences. 

Event Highlights 

This is a fantastic opportunity to experience university-level mathematics, meet inspiring staff and students, and discover life at Queen Mary as part of our inclusive and welcoming community. From probability and real-world patterns, including birthdays, crime and football, to the fascinating mathematics of higher dimensions, these interactive sessions offer an exciting glimpse into the breadth and creativity of mathematical thinking.

Here's what we've got planned for you: 

• Hands-on taster lectures led by our academics 
• Practical tips on making the jump from A-Levels to undergraduate study, and how to thrive when you get there 
• Careers in Maths: discover where a maths degree can take you, from finance and tech to data science, research, and beyond
