Mile End Library Teaching Collection temporary closure
The Teaching Collection area on the ground floor of the Mile End Library is temporarily closed, and there is a cordon in place at the far end of 1st floor South Reading Room due to a power outage and water leaks.

A fetching service is in operation 8.00am to 8.00pm for materials:
- All items in the Teaching Collection
- Classmarks: KD 3359-KZA 5200 on the 1st floor
- Journals: COR-YEA, Command Papers and Parliamentary Debates on the 1st floor
Please speak to a member of staff at the Welcome Desk to request items.
The closure and cordons are due to a water leak overnight (Wednesday 6 April) affecting the south end of the building to the ground and first floors; we have isolated the power in the Teaching Collection as a precaution.
We are still investigating the extent of the damage and impact to services and spaces, and will update as we know more. The north end of the building is unaffected.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused whilst we work to resolve this.
