Digital Object Identifier (DOI) requests at Queen Mary

A DOI, or Digital Object Identifier, is a unique and never-changing identifier that can be assigned to journal articles, datasets, and other works, and provides a persistent link to a location on the internet.

If you require a DOI from Queen Mary University of London for your published outputs please fill in the online request form.

DOI Request Form

Legal Responsibility

Queen Mary has a legal responsibility to maintain the persistence of the DOIs it mints. So, in addition to the information submitted through the form we need to be able to confirm the ongoing resolution of the DOI. To do this we need confirmation that the site hosting the material will be accessible and maintained in the long term. Or, that the material will be hosted in Queen Mary Research Online (QMRO), if you would like to discuss this second option please indicate that in the form.

If you have questions about requesting DOIs please contact openresearch@qmul.ac.uk.
