Improvements to inter-library loan service
Inter-library loans allow staff and postgraduate students to obtain documents not immediately available to them through the Queen Mary Library Services at no cost to the requestor.

We have introduced changes to the way that we manage inter-library loan (ILL) requesting and delivery:
Articles and Chapters from eBooks - From 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday, we aim to deliver any article that is available from within the UK consortium within 24 hours.
Other library materials – This service has also been upgraded to enable us to provide much shorter admin times within our own team.
Who can use the service?
- Academic staff and researchers
- All postgraduate students
What do I need to know?
- Please check for the item on Queen Mary Library Search before submitting your ILL request
- For certain material types the request form will guide you to check whether Senate House Library holds the item
- Please complete the request form as fully as possible for the appropriate item type
