Student presenting a lecture on Somali women
On 7 February 2024, Library Services will be holding a celebratory event to officially open the Mile End Library extension and to launch its Enhancement Project.
As part of the event, which is open to all Queen Mary students and staff, there will be sessions around several key themes, including Spaces, Digital and Research. One of the sessions will be ‘Libraries and the Future of Learning,’ and we want to co-create this session with students.
How to tell us what you think
We would like students, from any subject and any level of study, to submit either a poster or prepare a presentation. Posters and presentations can be created and delivered by individuals or groups of up to three students.
To prepare your poster or presentation, Library Services’ Learning Support and Engagement Team will be running two in-person sessions in the Mile End Library.
- ‘Researching and creating your poster or presentation’ - Wednesday 24 January 2024, 3:15pm-4:15pm
- ‘Feedback on your poster or presentation’ - Wednesday 31 January 2024, , 3:15pm-4:15pm
Attendance at these sessions is a requirement if you wish to participate in the event.
Those producing posters will be expected to attend on the day so that they can discuss their posters during the session.
Presentations can use PowerPoint, other standard software, or other visual aids, or can be delivered without visuals. Each presentation will be strictly limited to a maximum time of 5 minutes.
