Company Portal

Company Portal is the app that lets you, as an employee or student in your organisation, securely access software which is available to you.

What is Company Portal?

Company Portal has replaced Software Centre as the way in which applications and software (which you have access to) can be downloaded onto your machine. As all* devices at Queen Mary are part of the managed estate you will need to use this in order to access any software which is not already installed directly on your machine. This also includes software that you have purchased through IT Service Desk.

Company Portal is available in the start up menu and is a Microsoft 365 App.

Requesting new and paid for software and applications

For paid for, and non-standard software, where we already have the software licence you can request this via service desk using a budget code. 

This includes software and applications such as:

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Chat GPT Business

For software required for research projects and grants please talk to the ITS research team.

For new software, applications, and AI tools, which have not been agreed yet, please use the Ideas Forum submission.
