International students

Information for applicants from the USA

Welcome

Queen Mary has a long history of welcoming students from around the world. Over the years, many thousands of international students have graduated from the college and gone on to pursue successful careers. Today, we have 162 nationalities represented on campus. This diversity contributes to a lively and welcoming community which should make you feel comfortable and at home.

One of the largest colleges of the University of London and one of the few with fully integrated teaching, research and residential facilities, our setting gives you the benefits both of a large campus environment and of the countless academic and social opportunities of London.

Queen Mary has been a popular destination for US students for many years; each semester we host students from over one hundred US partner Universities on our Study Abroad Programme.

Increasing numbers of US students are also coming to the UK for full undergraduate and postgraduate degree study.  At Queen Mary we currently have over 492 students from the US. We are often a destination for US students due to the academic excellence and the time and financial savings of a UK degree.
