ARE EMOTIONS USEFUL?

17 December 2014

Time: 5:30pm
Venue: David Sizer Lecture Theatre, Francis Bancroft Building, QMUL

Many would argue that our lives depend on our emotions. Without them we can't figure out what we like and don't like, and without them we can't function in social situations. But, we know that sometimes emotions can lead us astray.

Under the centre for Mind in Society, we will be hosting a public debate in which four expert panelists (a historian, a psychiatrist, a philosopher, a management researcher) from Queen Mary University of London, Kings College, and London Business School will discuss questions posed by the public, based on issues related to emotions and their role in our day to day lives.

This will be an interactive event where you get to vote on the issue and even ask a question. Follow the link  to the survey below and pose your question to the expert panel.
