Admissions Statistics for Medicine & Dentistry
We have split our Admissions statistics by course and fee status as we rank Home and Overseas fee payers separately when shortlisting for interview, and when determining who to make an offer to. The cut off scores for our selection criteria can differ depending on which course you're applying to and your fee status.
Below you will find the Admissions statistics for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 UCAS cycles, split by Home (H) and Overseas (O):
Year of Entry | Minimum UCAT threshold |
2025 | 2361 (within or above 4th decile) |
2024 | 2361 (within or above 4th decile) |
2023 | 2251 (within or above 3rd decile) |
The UCAT is changing. In 2025, Abstract Reasoning will be withdrawn from the test. The test will comprise 3 cognitive subtests (Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning) alongside the Situational Judgement Test.
Please see the UCAT webpages for further information on how you can relate the new 'three subtest structure' back to performance in previous years.
The data below comprises 4 cognitive subtests:
