Doctoral College

Wellbeing

A doctorate is a substantial amount of work – and the rest of your life is not on hold while you conduct your research and write your thesis. Everyone has their own challenges, whether professional or personal, and some points of your doctorate will be more difficult than others.

As a researcher, it is important to take care of your own health and wellbeing. Your research can only benefit from you feeling and being well.

On this page, you will find links to resources and services, both at Queen Mary and externally, to support your wellbeing during your doctoral studies.

A safe, confidential space in which our PGRs can support each other with issues that are holding them back.

Workshops and resources to help you build emotional resilience, manage stress and look after your wellbeing.
