Profile

Emma joined QMUL in August 2023 to focus on supporting the career management of PGRs and Postdocs across all faculties. Emma works centrally across the QMUL Careers and Enterprise, the Doctoral College and QM Academy, and school providing consultancy to identify and prioritise the most effective careers development activities using data.  

She also offers one to one careers guidance appointments, that can cover a broad spectrum of career related discussions. This can include helping career decision making, exploration into the range of options open to researchers and navigating towards them. She can also offer support job application processes. Emma is developing a careers development programme, including careers themed workshops and events with a range of speakers.   

Key Functions:  

  • Supporting schools, doctoral college and QM Academy to develop careers development programmes, resources, workshops and events.  
  • 1 to 1 support for career development of PGRs and Postdocs.  
  • Developing alumni and employer links.
