Year 2 PGR Cohort day: Mid-stages Motivation

This one-day event from 10:00am to 4:00pm, designed specifically for second year PGRs.

Published:

This event will help you gain an understanding of the mid-stage doctoral process, the skills you need to succeed in your doctorate – and beyond! – and how to navigate this process in a way that works for you. You will also have the opportunity to meet with other second-year PGRs, learn the breadth of research that is taking place across the university, and develop new working relationships.

By the end of the session, you will:
- Learn how to keep up your momentum in effective and sustainable ways.
- Understand how to identify and communicate with your stakeholders.
- Consider the impact your research has and how to leverage that impact.
- Explore your career goals as they evolve.

In advance of the session, think of something that is weird, funny, or unique about the place you’re from (this could be your hometown, region, or country). Come prepared to share this with a small group of other PGRs!

Please bring something to write with – this can be pen and paper, laptop, or phone, whatever suits you best.

This event is designed to be practical and interactive, so come prepared to meet other PGRs, members of the Doctoral College staff, and to share your thoughts and ideas!

Register your attendance via CPD Training System.
