Queen Mary's PGR Induction: A Formal Welcome to Your Doctoral Journey

As the calendar turns over to a new year, we eagerly look forward to the commencement of Semester 2. To kickstart your academic journey, the induction week will begin from Monday, 15th January to Wednesday, 17th January 2024

This induction promises to blend the convenience of online sessions with the warmth of in-person gatherings, fostering a sense of community and familiarity among our PGRs.

Online Sessions via Zoom

Most of the induction sessions are designed to be accessible through Zoom. In recognition of the diverse needs of our students, the sessions have been categorized under course codes DC104, DC105, DC106, and DC107.
For those seeking a comprehensive overview, a simplified search for 'PGR Induction' will bring up all relevant sessions.

To participate, attendees are encouraged to register through CPD Training.

Registered attendees will receive session links on the day preceding each event, ensuring seamless access to valuable information and resources. The online sessions are crafted to provide essential insights, resources, and support that will lay the foundation for a successful academic term.

In-Person Session – 'Getting to Know You Tea & Cake'

An in-person session has been scheduled for Tuesday, 16th January 2024, from 2-4 pm. Titled as 'Getting to Know You Tea & Cake', this session will promise an atmosphere of camaraderie and connection. It is set in the PGR Common Room (GC7.01) at the Graduate Centre, Mile End campus, this gathering invites students to forge meaningful connections with their peers.
