Health Equity Evidence Centre

CEG is leading the development of an online evidence hub that synthesises robust research about what works to address inequalities in primary care.

The Health Equity Evidence Centre hosts:

  • 'Living Evidence Maps' – Each map represents a body of research relating to primary care inequalities, for example health outcomes for disadvantaged groups. Anyone around the world can access the evidence by clicking through to see the full list of papers included in the maps. We use machine learning software to help find relevant articles. The trained model is run once per month to pick up new relevant articles, ensuring the maps are always up to date.
  • Evidence briefs and how-to guides – These manually produced reports summarise the key articles from the Living Evidence Maps and provide practical guidance for policy-makers and practitioners.
  • Data insights – Data visualisations display the facts and figures that describe current structural inequalities in primary care.
