Research

Our research informs local, national and international policy and practice. We cover a huge spectrum of topics and methods, from evaluating interventions to investigating inequalities and understanding the determinants of health.

Current CEG research programmes support the ambition of the University’s Centre for Primary Care to:

  • Support people with multiple long-term conditions and address complexity
  • Optimise health and care through equity-focused quality improvement
  • Deliver population-based precision health
  • Develop world-leading research methods
  • Address the wider determinants of health
  • Build a fairer and more equitable society

Research networks

We are active members of the NIHR School for Primary Care Research, HDRUK and ADRUK research networks. Our staff also hold PhD studentships and NIHR fellowships.
