Queen Mary ‘Living Laboratory for Sustainability’ Workshop

Join us for a virtual workshop to explore the scope of a Living Laboratory at Queen Mary

The Living Laboratory is a concept practised by many universities around the world involving students, staff and local communities to address real-world sustainability challenges. Here are some examples of living labs in other universities: 

Are you a student or member of staff interested in learning more about the concept, and helping to shape QMULs initiative from the start? Do you have ideas or projects to contribute to a Living Laboratory at QMUL?  

If so, please join us on 16 March from 2-4pm for a virtual workshop. Register on Eventbrite to be sent a briefing document with links to other Living Laboratory examples, so that you can explore how different institutions have expanded this concept.  

The structure of the ‘Living Laboratory Workshop’ will be as follows: 

  • Introduction to the workshop (20 mins) 
  • Break out groups to e-meet and discuss key principles and develop the scope (60 mins plus 10 mins break) 
  • Wrap-up session to draw out key themes and comments (10 mins)
