Two months earlier the DUP, Sinn Féin, UUP and SDLP formed a new Northern Ireland Executive, devolved power sharing government having been provided for in the St. Andrew’s Agreement. In this press conference, on the occasion of Gordon Brown’s first visit to Northern Ireland as prime minister, he and Ahern discuss future British and Irish co-operation in the Northern Ireland Peace Process.
