Interviews with Patrick Mayhew and Ken Maginnis for ITN on 20 June 1994

Video interviews with Patrick Mayhew, former Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, and Ken Maginnis, UUP MP for Fermanagh and South Tyrone, for ITN on 20 June 1994. Two days earlier the UVF had carried out the Loughinsland killings. This was one event in a growing intensification of loyalist violence during the summer of 1994. Mayhew and Maginnis discuss the potential necessity for internment of paramilitary members in order to continue political talks.
