Transcript of an interview with Terence O’Neill, Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, by Michael McInerney for the Irish Times in May 1966. In January 1965 O’Neill met Irish Taoiseach Sean Lemass in Belfast to discuss economic cooperation and then travelled to Dublin to repeat the meeting again one month later. In this interview O’Neill discusses the process which led to these talks and the future of North-South relations. The Irish Times is the leading daily newspaper in Ireland.
