On 7 March a Real IRA attack on Massereene Barracks in Antrim town killed two British soldiers and injured two other soldiers and two civilians. Two days later the Continuity IRA killed PSNI officer Stephen Carroll, the first police officer killed by paramilitaries in Northern Ireland since 1998. In this interview Woodward discusses the political and public reactions to growing dissident republican activity in Northern Ireland. The Politics Show is a weekly current affairs programme on BBC Northern Ireland.
