Video interview with Peter Robinson, First Minister of Northern Ireland, for BBC Northern Ireland Hearts and Minds on 19 November 2009. On 18 November 2008 the DUP and Sinn Féin agreed a roadmap to allow for the devolution of policing and justice powers to Northern Ireland. However, progress was slow on coming to a final agreement on these issues in 2009. In this interview Robinson discusses the difficulties in negotiating a final agreement on the devolution of policing powers. These powers were finally devolved to the Northern Ireland administration under the terms of the Hillsborough Agreement of February 2010.
