Interview with Paul Mageean for the BBC in 2000

Audio interview with Paul Mageean, legal officer with the Committee on the Administration of Justice in Northern Ireland, by the BBC in 2000. Under the terms of the Belfast Agreement/Good Friday Agreement, a Criminal Justice Review Group was established to address elements of the judicial system including prosecution arrangements and lay involvement in that system. Its report, published on 30 March 2000, outlined proposed reforms of the judicial system in Northern Ireland. Paul Mageean discusses the proposals suggested by the report. This interview forms part of the BBC Northern Ireland A State Apart online resource which documents thirty years of peace and violence in Northern Ireland from the Troubles to the Belfast Agreement/Good Friday Agreement.
