Video interview with Mike Nesbitt, leader of the UUP, and Declan Kearney, chairperson of Sinn Fein, by Mark Carruthers for BBC Northern Ireland The View on 7 November 2013. Three days earlier a BBC/RTE documentary entitled ‘The Disappeared’ was broadcast documenting the history of the ‘disappeared’ and the effects of these abductions, killings and secret burials on the families of the victims. The documentary also contained allegations that Gerry Adams had been involved in the Jean McConville case. In this interview Nesbitt and Kearney discuss Adams’ future leadership of Sinn Fein in light of these persistent accusations. The View is a weekly current affairs programme on BBC Northern Ireland.
