Interview with Mike McKimm for the BBC

Audio interview with BBC Northern Ireland correspondent Mike McKimm for the BBC. The Belfast Agreement/ Good Friday Agreement gave a commitment to the development of a new regional development strategy within Northern Ireland. This was set out in 1999 in a government document entitled Shaping our future which later integrated suggestions from groups and organisations in wider society. McKimm discusses this policy document and the potential of the new regional development strategy. This interview forms part of the BBC Northern Ireland A State Apart online resource which documents thirty years of peace and violence in Northern Ireland from the Troubles to the Belfast Agreement/Good Friday Agreement.
