On that date the Real IRA issued a statement in the Sunday Tribune newspaper in which they threatened to kill Martin McGuinness and resume a military campaign in Great Britain. In this interview McGuinness responds to the alleged threat to his safety and discusses the transition of the wider republican movement from political violence to democratic politics.
