Amid continued paramilitary violence but increasing public pressure for an end to the conflict in Northern Ireland, Martin McGuinness discusses the republican movement's attitude to the Downing Street Declaration, negotiations with the British government and public opinion. On 6 April the Provisional IRA announced a three day military ceasefire. On the Record was BBC's flagship political programme.
