Audio interview with Jonathan Powell, former Downing Street Chief of Staff, by Nick Watt for the Guardian in March 2008. Earlier that month Powell released his memoir ‘Great Hatred, Little Room: making peace in Northern Ireland’. In this interview he discusses the negotiations which led to the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement and assesses Peter Mandelson’s role as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
