Published:

Audio interview with Jonathan Craig, DUP MLA for Lagan Valley, and Alban Maginness, SDLP MLA for Belfast North, by Joel Taggart for BBC Radio Ulster The Nolan Show on 6 September 2013. Earlier that month the PSNI announced that there had been 689 injuries to its police officers since 1 July 2012. Violent protests over issues such as flags and commemorations had contributed to these injuries in the summer of 2013. In this interview Craig and Maginness discuss the economic fallout of the increased PSNI deployment in maintaining public order at these demonstrations.
