Video interview with John McAnerney, Secretary of the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association, by Ronnie Turner for RTE News in December 1968. In August of that year the Northern Ireland civil rights movement began public marches in support of its objectives causing community tensions between Catholics and Protestants. One such march was stopped by the RUC in Armagh in November 1968 on account of a loyalist counter-demonstration led by Ian Paisley and Ronald Bunting. McAnerney discusses events in Armagh and the wider civil rights movement.
