Transcript of an interview with John Major, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, on 29 June 1996. On 10 June all-party negotiations, the Stormont talks, began in Belfast. Sinn Féin was excluded from the discussions. Five days later the Provisional IRA detonated a bomb in Manchester injuring two hundred people while on 28 June the Provisional IRA launched a mortar attack on a British army barracks in Osnabrück, Germany causing substantial damage to buildings. In this interview Major discusses these recent acts of violence and his future willingness to include Sinn Féin in the all-party talks.
