Transcript of an interview with John Major, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, in Enniskillen on 31 March 1994. On 6 April the Provisional IRA announced a three day ceasefire. Major discusses the significance of this announcement and wider republican responses to the Downing Street Declaration of 15 December 1993. On 31 August 1994 the Provisional IRA announced a full cessation of military activity.
