Transcript of an interview with John Major, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and John Bruton, Irish Taoiseach, on 9 December 1996. In November John Hume and Gerry Adams proposed that Sinn Féin be permitted entry into the Stormont talks on the announcement of a new Provisional IRA ceasefire. In this interview Major and Bruton discuss the conditions in which Sinn Féin would be admitted to the talks.
