Video interview with Jimmy Spratt, DUP MLA for Belfast South, by Jim Fitzpatrick for BBC Northern Ireland Stormont Live on 16 June 2009. On 18 November 2008 the DUP and Sinn Féin agreed a roadmap to allow for the devolution of policing and justice powers to Northern Ireland. However, progress was slow on coming to a final agreement on these issues in 2009. In this interview Spratt discusses talks with the British government on the financial basis for the devolution of these powers. Stormont Live is a BBC Northern Ireland programme which presents news and analysis from the Northern Ireland administration.
