Kennedy Smith is interviewed just prior to the visit of Bill Clinton to Northern Ireland in December 1995, the first ever visit of an American president to that state. She discusses the contribution of Bill Clinton and the United States political administration to the peace process in Northern Ireland. The interview took place just over two months before the Provisional IRA ended its military ceasefire in February 1996.
