Video interview with Gerry Adams, president of Sinn Féin, by Charlie Rose for PBS Charlie Rose in November 2001. On 23 October the Provisional IRA announced that it had begun to decommission its weapons. Eleven days later the PSNI was established. In this interview Adams discusses the stability of the Peace Process following these developments. Particular attention is given to the impact of the 9/11 attacks on the momentum for the Peace Process in Northern Ireland. Charlie Rose is an American interview-style programme on PBS. This is the first part of a two part interview.
