Transcript of an interview with Dick Spring, Irish Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs, by John Humphrys for the BBC television programme, On the Record. With all-party talks due to begin the very next day Spring believes that it is still possible for Sinn Féin to take part if the IRA call a ceasefire and agree to adhere to the Mitchell Principles. Spring believes, however, that even if Sinn Féin are absent the Unionists and SDLP can make progress together.
