Later that evening a BBC/RTE documentary entitled ‘The Disappeared’ was broadcast documenting the history of the ‘disappeared’ and the effects of these abductions, killings and secret burials on the families of the victims. MacIntyre, who made the documentary, discusses the potential impact of the programme on progressing the search for the ‘disappeared’.
