Audio interviews with community leaders of Gaelic games, rugby and basketball in Northern Ireland by Barbara Walshe for the RTE Radio 1 series Picking up the Pieces broadcast on 10 March 2012. The interviewees discuss their attempts to build community relations in Northern Ireland at youth level by encouraging young people to partake in religiously inclusive sporting initiatives. These interviews are part of week two of this broadcast series subtitled Sports. This radio series explores the work of grassroots organisations seeking to promote cross community reconciliation in Northern Ireland through dialogue, recreational activities and local initiatives.
