Video interview with Brian Faulkner, former Northern Ireland Minister of Commerce, by Kevin MacDonald for RTE News in April 1969. On 28 April an under pressure Terence O’Neill resigned as leader of the Unionist Party and Prime Minister of Northern Ireland. Faulkner and James Chichester-Clarke became the leading candidates to replace him. In this interview Faulkner discusses his potential policies as Prime Minister. One day later, 1 May, Chichester-Clarke became leader of the Unionist Party and Prime Minister of Northern Ireland.
