Plea in Mitigation Competition

The Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre runs an annual Plea in Mitigation Competition.  This is the piece of advocacy undertaken by a defence advocate in a criminal sentencing hearing.  It blends law, facts and persuasion to provide a rich simulated learning opportunity for students.

Each year legal professionals kindly donate their time to judge the competition and give feedback to our students.
