Students Put Their Skills to the Test in the Legal City Challenge 2026
On Wednesday 23rd September, Addleshaw Goddard hosted 19 of our undergraduate law students in their Legal City Challenge as part of City Giving Day, gaining first-hand insight into the professional world while developing key employability skills.

The students worked in three groups and spent the afternoon visiting leading businesses including Aviva, Siemens and NatWest. At each location, students were set a series of practical business challenges designed to test their teamwork, communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Working against the clock, participants collaborated to tackle real-world scenarios, such as negotiation pitches, client presentations and legal research tasks. The event provided students with a unique opportunity to experience a range of workplaces, meet industry professionals and gain a better understanding of the skills required to succeed in today's employment market.
Throughout the day, students demonstrated creativity, resilience and professionalism as they navigated the challenges and travelled between offices across the City of London. As well as developing confidence and workplace awareness, participants were encouraged to ask questions and learn about the different career pathways available within major organisations.
The challenge concluded with a networking and celebration event at Addleshaw Goddard's London offices, where students had the opportunity to reflect on their experiences, connect with professionals and celebrate their achievements.
Congratulations to all those who took part and to our winning team: Daira, Adela, Zeynep, Bushra and Albanita. A special congratulations to Albanita who won the Student Stand Out award! The winning team will receive the opportunity to take part in Addleshaw Goddard's mentoring programme, as well as a book voucher.
A huge thank you goes to Addleshaw Goddard, Aviva, Siemens and NatWest for hosting and supporting this year's event, and to all the students who took part with such enthusiasm and commitment. Their energy, ambition and teamwork helped make the Legal City Challenge 2026 a resounding success.
