Foundation programmes

Students who either have studied a Lise Diplomasi qualification at a school not listed below, or whose grades do not meet our minimum requirements may be considered for entry onto one of our Foundation Programmes.

How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications or Turkish Diploma in addition to two AP exams. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website or contact if you have further questions.

We also consider students from Turkey with one of the following qualifications:

  • Devlet Lise Diplomasi (State High School Diploma)
  • Lise Bitirme Diplomasi (Private High School Diploma)

Only if either qualification was completed at one of the following schools:

Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry Admissions

Please note, the Devlet Lise Diplomasi (State High School Diploma) and Lise Bitirme Diplomasi (Private High School Diploma) are not accepted for admission to our MBBS or BDS programmes that are delivered in London (but are accepted for all other undergraduate programmes delivered in London).

However, the Devlet Lise Diplomasi (State High School Diploma) and Lise Bitirme Diplomasi (Private High School Diploma) are accepted for our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta.

How to apply


We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: GPA 3.40 to 3.60 out of 4.00
UK 2:1 degree: GPA 2.80 to 3.00 out of 4.00
UK 2:2 degree: GPA 2.30 to 2.50 out of 4.00

Offer conditions will vary depending on the institution you are applying from.
