How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website. 

We also consider students from Iceland with the following qualifications:

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the Stúdentspróf:

Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry Admissions

Please note, the Stúdentspróf is not accepted for admission to our MBBS or BDS programmes that are delivered in London (but it is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes delivered in London). However, the Stúdentspróf is accepted for our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta

Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor degree (Baccalaureus or Bakkalarprof) from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: 8.25 out of 10
UK 2:1 degree: 7.25 out of 10
UK 2:2 degree: 6.5 out of 10
