How to apply

Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications. For individual grade requirements for particular degree programmes please refer to the undergraduate study section of this website.

We also consider students from Mauritius with the following qualifications:

  • Cambridge Higher School Certificate (HSC)

This is Queen Mary’s equivalency table for GCE A-Levels and the HSC:

Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry Admissions

For more detailed information on Medicine and Dentistry requirements and how to apply please refer to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry section of our website. 

Please note, the HSC is not accepted for admission to either our MBBS or BDS programmes delivered in London (but is accepted for all other undergraduate programmes delivered in London). However, the HSC is accepted for our MBBS programme delivered in the Republic of Malta.

Postgraduate

We normally consider the following qualifications for entry to our postgraduate taught programmes: Bachelor Degree from a recognised institution.

UK 1st class degree: Class I; or 70%
UK 2:1 degree: Class II division I; or 60%
UK 2:2 degree: Class II division II; or 50%

Offer conditions will vary depending on the grading scale used by your institution.
