Excellent results for QMUL’s School of Geography in 2015 National Student Survey

Overall satisfaction is 94 per cent among Physical Geography students at Queen Mary University of London, according to the results of the 2015 National Student Survey (NSS), up from 93 per cent in 2014. Satisfaction among students of Human Geography stands at 93 per cent, up five percentage points from 2014.

The results rank Physical Geography as first in London while Human Geography is second. Satisfaction with teaching among students of Human Geography is at 96 per cent, a five year high, while 91 per cent of Physical Geography students are happy with the teaching on their course.

Professor Alison Blunt, Head of QMUL’s School of Geography said: “We’re hugely proud of these results, and I extend my congratulations to all colleagues at the School. At the core of our approach is the provision of world class teaching in a supportive, collegial environment. These results show that our ethos is reflected in the day-to-day student experience, in which we will continue to invest.”

Overall student satisfaction at QMUL is at 88 per cent, up from 86 per cent in 2014. The 2015 National Student Survey ranks QMUL in the top ten among Russell Group universities and joint first in London for student satisfaction.
