Dr Matthew Grenby, Newcastle University, will be presenting research from his recent book 'The Child Reader, 1700–1840'.
Dr Grenby examines unused and unusual kinds of evidence such as inscriptions, marginalia and family documents, to offer new insights into the ways in which the first children's books were consumed by their child readers.
