GP Tutor: Introduction to Teaching

This interactive one-day, face-to-face course is designed for GPs who are new to undergraduate teaching, as well as experienced educators looking to refresh and strengthen their teaching practice.
Through practical workshops and discussion, participants will explore key aspects of effective clinical teaching, including:
- What makes an outstanding clinical teacher
- Creating a supportive and effective feedback culture
- Planning and delivering a successful student induction
Delivered twice each academic year, this highly valued course equips new GP tutors with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support medical students effectively in primary care settings. Attendance is mandatory for all new GP tutors.
